A Brief History
Barrington Arch was founded in 2005 by Scott Barrington and grew out of a need. Scott was frustrated with the lack of good parametric BIM content and components available to add to his virtual building models.
Since then Barrington Arch has set out to change this and has grown to be globally recognised for its BIM content development, for both the Revit & ArchiCAD formats.
Barrington Arch now provides a complete ‘start to finish’ solution. With a stable of services for building product manufacturers wanting to get up to speed and support BIM (Building Information Modeling). These include:
- BIM content development for Graphisoft ArchiCAD, Autodesk Revit, Bentley BIM & Google Sketchup.
- BIM colour integration for Graphisoft ArchiCAD, Autodesk Revit, Bentley BIM & Google Sketchup.
- Advanced building industry web tools, which integrate with BIM
- BIM distribution, delivery & updating solutions.

This gives us a global feel for the architectural & building industries as a whole. Allowing us to better apply new solutions & keeping us on the cutting edge of building technology. We currently have 11 BIM Agents based around the globe, which allows us to work closely in with our clients.
